Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with Level I/II or III/IV trauma center experience and required ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications for a 48-hour D/E rotation position in Massachusetts.
Details
- Work in a very busy Emergency Department with up to 120 treatment areas serving 350-440 patients per day
- 48-hour D/E rotation schedule with shifts of 7am-7pm, 11am-11pm, or 3pm-3am
- Every other weekend required, 2 weekends per schedule period
- 36-hour contracts will be considered, though 48-hour is preferred
- Patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity
- Must be flexible to float to Psych ED and Pedi ED (caring for age 15+ patients unless previous pediatric experience)
- Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms while on assignment
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
- Must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
- Must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
- Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B
- Critical care experience preferred
- Previous travel assignment experience preferred
- Two professional references required, including one manager-level reference with a performance evaluation completed within the last 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care to a high-volume, high-acuity patient population
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
