Join a leading acute-care hospital as an RN in the Emergency Department (ED) in Boston, MA. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment in a very busy ED, which holds up to 120 treatment areas and serves 350-440 patients per day. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are ready to make a difference in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4-5, depending on acuity.
• Be flexible with floating to areas such as Psych ED and Pedi ED (caring for patients aged 15+ unless previous pediatric experience is available).

Qualifications:

• Required Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience and/or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience.
• Preferred Experience: EPIC, previous travel assignments, critical care experience.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS (must be active/unexpired).

This role includes a 12-hour shift rotation with hours from 7 am-7 pm, 11 am-11 pm, or 3 pm-3 am, and requires working 2 weekends per schedule period. While we accept a 36-hour contract, a 48-hour commitment is preferred. Please note that travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during their assignment.
