Job Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an emergency room or emergency department setting
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or similarly high-volume ED preferred
• Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to coach and give real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department
• Required certifications before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Comfort working in a fast-paced emergency nursing environment with changing patient needs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients across all sections of the unit
• Monitor patients, assess changing conditions, and respond quickly to urgent clinical situations
• Support patient flow and collaborate closely with the care team to deliver efficient, compassionate care
• Maintain clear and timely documentation using the Cerner EHR system
• Deliver an excellent patient experience through respectful communication and AIDET principles
• Update patient boards and keep patients informed throughout their visit
• Work collaboratively with techs, clerks, and other support staff in a team-oriented healthcare environment
• Adapt to the needs of the department while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and strong clinical judgment
