Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring recent Level I/II or III/IV ED experience and MA licensure.

Details

  • Adult Emergency Department setting within a very busy hospital ED with up to 120 treatment areas serving 350-440 patients per day
  • Patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 7p-7:30a, 36 hours per week
  • Works 2 weekends within a 4-week schedule period
  • Every other holiday required
  • Floating required to Psych ED and Pedi ED (age 15+ unless previous pediatric experience)
  • Travelers are not placed in trauma rooms during this assignment

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (active/unexpired)
  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
  • Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
  • Must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Previous travel assignment experience preferred
  • Critical care experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care within a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department
  • Must remain on assignment through January 9, 2027
  • 50-mile radius rule applies for local versus travel rate determination
  • Two professional references required, including one at the manager level with a performance evaluation, with one evaluation completed within the last 12 months
