Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring at least one year of critical care experience and ACLS certification.

Details

  • Emergency Services department in an acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
  • 13-week assignment length
  • No on-call requirements
  • Float between ICU and Tele as needed

Requirements

  • Active and valid IL RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital critical care setting
  • CCRN certification preferred
  • Strip interpretation and drip titration skills required
  • DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
  • Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition, hemodynamic monitoring, and diagnostic results
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • COVID vaccination and boosters preferred
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
