Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active IL RN license, EPIC experience, and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- 13-week contract assignment
- Day shift schedule from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
- 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, each 13 hours in length, with expectation to be onsite within one hour if called in
- 2-week nights rotation required for all travelers
- No block scheduling available
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- Trauma level 2 or higher preferred setting
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
- TNCC certification highly preferred
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Emergency Department nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Serve as the primary caregiver for a designated group of ED patients, utilizing the nursing process to guide care delivery
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
- Implement and modify care plans based on continuous patient assessment and evolving needs
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of nursing care for care team coordination
- Take responsibility for patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and families to promote a healthy work environment
- Offer constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
- This is a designated high-risk department assignment
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Prior Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they were on assignment for more than 1 year before returning
