American Traveler is hiring an RN for the Adult Emergency Department, requiring an OK or compact RN license and trauma experience for a night shift travel assignment.

  • Adult Emergency Department within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • Travel and trauma experience required

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board or multistate compact/eNLC) required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required (BSN preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theories, practices, and techniques
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond to diverse cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
  • Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care to a diverse ED patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and treatment responses
  • Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic or treatment procedures
  • Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
  • Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge instructions
  • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
  • Facility strictly enforces credentialing and compliance deadlines, with no start date flexibility
  • Workers may extend only once up to a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
  • 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or termination of assignment
