Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring travel trauma experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Adult Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
  • Travel trauma experience required
  • Assigned a group of patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Additional Information

  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and note changes in physician orders
  • Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
  • Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
  • Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
  • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
  • Full date of birth and SSN required for consideration
  • Facility enforces strict credentialing and compliance deadlines, with no start date flexibility
  • Workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
  • 30-day written notice required if ending an assignment early
