Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and Expanse EMR proficiency.

Details

  • Freestanding Emergency Department setting within a hospital system
  • 12-bed unit with 4:1 patient ratios
  • Staffed with 3 RNs plus 2 mid-shifters on days and 3 RNs on nights
  • Uses standard ED equipment and the Expanse EMR
  • Night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment
  • 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
  • Floating required to Main ED (Tomball) and Jersey Village locations

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
  • Expanse EMR experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, and CPI/NCI
  • ENPC preferred but not required for initial consideration
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include triage, assessment and reassessment, IV starts, lab draws, and EKGs
  • Will train for lab procedures at the facility
  • Candidates must adhere to the facility's ICARE Values and Code of Conduct
  • Scrub color required is royal blue
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as no local candidates are accepted
  • First-time travelers may be considered
