Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department (Trauma 1) position requiring KS or compact RN license and prior trauma experience.

Details

• Emergency Department-Trauma 1 unit setting
• 16-week contract assignment
• Shift schedule of 13:00-01:00 (1:00 PM to 1:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• EHR system used is Cerner OneChart
• Ceil blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (must be AHA)
• TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI/MOAB High-Risk training required (online and on-site portions)
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide emergency and trauma nursing care within a Level 1 trauma setting
• On-site portion of CPI/MOAB High-Risk training to be completed during orientation
• Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 3 designated holidays
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• Candidates should discuss assignment extensions with their manager approximately 45 days before the end date
