Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KS or compact license and prior ED experience.

Details

  • Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment
  • 13-week assignment
  • Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30

Requirements

  • Active KS or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA)
  • TNCC certification preferred, renewed every 4 years
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
  • CPI/MOAB High Risk training (online and on-site portions) preferred
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established emergency department policies and protocols
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient condition
  • Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders and assist with discharge planning
  • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
  • Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate
  • COVID vaccination is not required
