Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860–$1,960
• Assignment Dates: October 4, 2026–January 3, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Healthcare Setting: High-volume Emergency Department
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience; 2 years preferred
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume Emergency Department preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before the start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work effectively in all areas of the Emergency Department
• Strong teamwork, communication, coaching, and real-time feedback skills
• Commitment to respectful, patient-centered care and clear communication
• Ability to wear required navy scrubs

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to Emergency Department patients
• Care for a diverse patient population, including medical, behavioral health, trauma, and acute-care presentations
• Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, clerks, and other members of the care team
• Remain flexible and support all sections of the Emergency Department as patient-care needs change
• Perform assessments, administer medications, monitor patient status, and evaluate responses to treatment
• Use emergency nursing knowledge to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and keep patients and families informed throughout the visit
• Demonstrate AIDET principles, respectful behavior, and a consistent commitment to an excellent patient experience
• Participate in every-other-weekend coverage and department scheduling needs
