Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room or Emergency Department setting
• Experience in a Level II trauma center and/or comprehensive stroke center preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency healthcare environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coach or give feedback in real time
• Required certifications before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Comfort working across all areas of the ED
• Experience with Cerner preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with varying acuity levels
• Assess, monitor, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition in a high-acuity ED
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary care team to support efficient patient flow
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy and diverse clinical setting
• Support behavioral holds and higher-acuity assignments as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold departmental standards
• Practice respectful communication and maintain a strong commitment to patient experience
• Adapt to changing unit needs and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture
