Description

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of ED experience, charge nurse capability, and MN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department/Urgent Care setting treating adults and pediatrics with common ED/UC diagnoses
• 17 staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4 across day, night, and weekend shifts
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• Works every third weekend
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside scope
• Uses Epic charting system
• Navy blue scrub color required

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (license in hand preferred; otherwise must apply through Aya project upon offer acceptance)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with conscious sedation and triage required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Strong emergency department clinical skills across pediatric and adult populations
• One supervisor reference required for consideration
• Documentation required for consideration includes date of birth, SSN, certification copies, and Nursys verification

Additional Information

• Provides emergency and urgent care to a combined adult/pediatric patient population
• May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital if needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals accepted only within 100 miles are not eligible; candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked as a perm employee
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days
• Pre-start modules are required prior to starting the assignment
• Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to those who previously worked as perm staff
