Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active TX or compact RN license and TNCC and NIHSS certifications.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • 13-week assignment with 7A-7P or 7P-7:30A shift options
  • Every other weekend required
  • On-call requirements apply
  • Floating required as needed per facility policy
  • Documentation via Meditech, experience preferred but not required

Requirements

  • Active TX RN license or compact license required; temporary licenses not accepted
  • Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
  • PALS or ENPC certification required
  • CEN certification preferred
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills preferred
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required for FL and MI candidates)
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care including conscious sedation support, participation in intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis protocols, stroke (tPA administration), and chest pain/heart alert response
  • Navy scrub color required for RNs with white, navy, or black undershirts and jackets only
  • Nail policy prohibits acrylics and requires clean, unchipped polish under 1/4 inch
  • Hair must be a natural color and worn off the shoulders
  • Visible body art should be covered when feasible; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • First-time travelers are not specifically excluded but must meet minimum experience requirements
