Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring prior ER experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certification, and a valid LA or compact RN license.

Details

Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Rotating weekend requirement
No on-call or floating requirements
Patient ratio of 1:4
EPIC charting system experience required
Royal blue scrubs required

Requirements

Active LA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (TNCC preferred)
Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
EPIC charting experience required
Skills in emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation monitoring
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE
Experience with ortho trauma and neuro-trauma cases
At least two recent manager references required
Must disclose any license history issues at time of consideration

Additional Information

Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed
Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate
Previous permanent employees of the health system must wait 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
