Travel RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of current hospital Emergency Department RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Kansas
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications
• Current CPI Blue Card certification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and clinical judgment skills
• Meditech experience preferred
• ENPC certification preferred
• Experience in a large hospital or high-volume clinical setting preferred

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Emergency Department patients
• Complete patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and prioritize care according to acuity
• Initiate IVs, administer medications, and provide treatments as ordered
• Assist with procedural sedation and emergency interventions within scope of practice
• Care for pediatric and adult patients using appropriate clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and support staff
• Accurately document care in the Meditech electronic medical record
• Follow medication scanning, patient safety, infection prevention, and department policies consistently
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a positive patient experience
