Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN or Emergency Room Nurse experience
• Current Registered Nurse license applicable to Kansas
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and CPI Blue Card certifications
• Ability to work independently and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department
• Strong communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills
• Meditech electronic medical record experience preferred
• ENPC certification and experience in larger emergency departments preferred

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to emergency department patients
• Assess patients, prioritize care, monitor changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Perform IV starts, administer medications, and provide ongoing patient monitoring
• Assist with procedural sedations and deliver emergency nursing care to pediatric patients
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, unit clerks, and fellow nurses
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the Meditech electronic medical record
• Follow medication scanning and patient identification procedures consistently
• Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes while supporting a high-performing emergency care team
