Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position. This role involves variable shifts, including mid-shifts and night shifts, within a dynamic emergency care environment.

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 11
Staffing:
- 2 RNs available 24/7
- 1 Paramedic (40 hours/week)
- 1 MD available 24/7
- 1 Radiology Technician available 24/7
- 1 Security Guard available 24/7
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Type of Equipment: GE monitors, Baxter pumps
EMR: Meditech

Qualifications

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year current Emergency Department RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
- PALS certification will be accepted in lieu of ENPC
- CPI Blue Card
- Ability to work mid-shift and night shifts
Preferred Skills:
- Experience as an ER Charge RN
- Willingness to float between different ED departments

Typical Procedures Performed

EKGs
IV insertions and medication administration
Conscious sedation
Wound care
