Unit Information

The Emergency Department is equipped with:

Number of Beds: 50
Number of Staff: 68
Staff Composition:
- Day Shift: 7-8 RNs, 2-3 EMT/Medic
- Mid Shift: 8-10 RNs
- Night Shift: 7-8 RNs, 2-3 EMT/Medic
Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5 (estimated, not guaranteed)
Type of Equipment: EKG, Cardiac monitors, Blood Glucose monitors
Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

Required Skills

Minimum 1 year of current experience in acute care hospital Emergency Department
Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIH)
- PALS
- TNCC
- ENPC
- CPI Blue Card

Preferred Skills

Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
Experience with stroke patients

Typical Procedures and Responsibilities

Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department are responsible for:

Providing comprehensive emergency care to all patients
Collaborating effectively with staff and providers to ensure patient-focused care
