Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to boarder patients within a high-volume Emergency Department float pool setting
  • Manage a diverse patient population including med/surg, stepdown, and ICU-level boarder patients
  • Float to acute inpatient units as needed based on staffing demands
  • Deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical protocols and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similarly sized Level 1 Trauma facility
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • TNCC certification required
  • Resume must reflect no employment gaps

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience caring for boarder patients across multiple acuity levels (med/surg, stepdown, ICU)
  • Demonstrated ability to float and adapt to varying acute care unit environments
  • Strong emergency department clinical skill set with verifiable professional references
