Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring EPIC experience and prior ED nursing background.

Details

• Emergency Department setting
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00AM-7:30PM, 3 days per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
• 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with expectation of onsite arrival within one hour of being called
• 2-week night shift rotation required for all travelers
• No block scheduling available
• Floating required as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• TNCC certification highly preferred
• Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred

Additional Information

• Serve as primary caregiver for a designated group of ED patients, applying the nursing process to assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team
• Identify and report/correct safety hazards to protect patients and staff
• Provide constructive feedback to peers to support professional development and team growth
• Classified as a high-risk department assignment
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
