Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.
Job Summary (Staff Registered Nurse - RN):
- Provides direct patient care for a designated group of patients within a specific time frame.
- Utilizes the nursing process, current nursing trends, and available technology to deliver care.
- Completes comprehensive initial assessments and develops patient-centered care plans.
- Implements and regularly updates care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation.
- Performs nursing interventions and procedures specific to the unit/department (including ED nursing as applicable).
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of all patient care activities.
- Ensures patient and staff safety by adhering to safety standards and promptly reporting/correcting hazards.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families to support a healing environment.
- Provides constructive feedback and support for the professional development of peers.
- Identifies and addresses personal learning needs to maintain clinical competence.
- Fulfills departmental competency requirements and adheres to institutional philosophy and policies.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current Illinois state RN License in good standing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – American Heart Association.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification – American Heart Association.
Med Ninjas Job ID #16621. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
