Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 3 years of ED nursing experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Work in a Level 2 or higher trauma Emergency Department
• Night shift schedule from 3:00PM-3:00AM, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
• 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, each 13 hours with expectation to be onsite within 1 hour of call
• 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers
• No block scheduling available
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• TNCC certification highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and modify care based on ongoing evaluation
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to deliver comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Prior contingent workers may not exceed 1 year of continuous assignment before requiring a 6-month break in service
