Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CO or compact license and EPIC charting experience.

Details

  • Emergency Department setting within a hospital
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • Uses EPIC for charting
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

  • Active RN license, CO or compact required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
  • ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required as appropriate for the unit
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department specialty required
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care
  • Performs health teaching, counseling, and patient referrals as needed
  • Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Background check and drug screening required, with results typically taking at least 2 weeks
  • Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
