Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of experience who is left-handed for scanning and requires prior travel experience.

Details
  • 12-week assignment in a hospital-based Echo/Cardiac Sonography unit
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Every other weekend coverage required
  • No on-call requirements
  • May float within the facility and scope of practice as needed
  • Works with adult patients in Acute Care, Outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU settings
  • Performs 2-D and 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, imaging with contrast agents, Pharmacologic and Treadmill Stress Echo, and TEE procedures
  • Utilizes Simpson's Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, and Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area calculations
  • Uses GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, Toshiba equipment and PACS system
  • Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer
  • Must be left-handed for scanning purposes
  • Prior travel healthcare experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • ARDMS certification preferred
  • RDCS certification required, or CCI RCS as an alternative
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • License required if applicable
  • Two supervisory references (Manager or above) required at time of consideration
  • Copies of relevant certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Perform comprehensive echocardiographic studies including 2-D/3-D imaging, stress echo, and TEE procedures for adult patients
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50-mile radius
  • In-person interview required for consideration
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
  • No schedule or shift change requests permitted after submission
  • If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, coverage of those holidays is expected with no holiday RTO available
  • If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, coverage of two holidays is expected with one holiday RTO request possibly considered
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
  • Full compliance required prior to start date to avoid scheduling delays
