Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of CVPICU experience at a dedicated children's facility and GA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Level I Trauma pediatric hospital setting within the CVPICU
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), every other weekend
• Occasional floating to other ICUs across campuses, including NICU, TICU, PICU, and CICU, and possibly general Pediatrics
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU experience required at a dedicated children's facility (general population peds experience not accepted)
• BSN preferred but not required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills in infection control/PPE, wound assessment/care, isolation precautions, and ventilator management
• Two supervisor-level professional references completed within the last 12 months required for consideration
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients
• Facility is a nicotine-free campus and tests candidates for cotinine/nicotine use
• Med pass/fail competency test administered, with a review and retake opportunity; failure to pass on the second attempt results in cancellation
• Compliance hard documents due no later than 7 business days prior to start with no exceptions
• Candidates must submit RTO dates at time of submission
• Offer must be signed within 24 hours, GA release within 24 hours of signing, labs completed within 48 hours, and license verification submitted within 72 hours of offer
• First-time travelers are accepted if resume demonstrates required skills
