The role involves circulating in a fast-paced environment alongside a team of surgeons and specialists to provide optimal patient care.
Job Details
- Position Description: The role supports a nationally-recognized cardiovascular and thoracic program, requiring staff to operate in a high-acuity, complex environment. The unit performs multiple advanced procedures including CABG, MVR, AVR, Kidney transplant, Robotics (Thoracic and Cardiac), Vascular Access, Hybrid techniques (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR), Impella, IABP, ECMO. The team manages approximately 25 surgeons regularly.
- Required Qualifications: RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certifications; minimum of 2 years of CVOR circulating experience.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Shifts may include weekdays, call minimum of 1 weekday and 1 full weekend per month, possibly more, with response time of 30 minutes.
- Additional notes: No float requirement, hospital provides scrubs, and unit/orientation is specific to the cardiovascular and thoracic environment.
- Submission Requirements: Licensure to submit, EMR experience with Epic, and charting responsibilities included.
