Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room Open Heart Multiple Locations. The position supports adult open-heart surgical care, including cardiovascular surgery, cardiac monitoring, cardiopulmonary procedures, and transplant surgery. The role includes day shifts, on-call coverage, weekend responsibilities, and a 1:1 patient ratio.
Job Details

- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a valid compact state license in hand at submission.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Travel experience required.
- Required experience with Epic charting.
- Cardiac scrub experience, including cardiovascular surgery, coronary artery bypass graft procedures, aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, ventricular assist devices, intra-aortic balloon pump procedures, cardiac monitoring, blood and blood product administration, electrosurgical units, specimen handling and labeling, and universal protocol procedures.
- Additional Information:
- On-call coverage is required and assigned according to unit needs.
- Weekend coverage is required, including one call weekend per month.
- Expected patient ratio is 1:1.
- Adult patient population.
- Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support.
- Holiday coverage includes three of five designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day.
