Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU | Travel | IL

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for an ICU position in an acute care setting. Ideal candidates will possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. This role involves caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: Not provided
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), every other weekend and holiday
  • Assignment Length: Not provided
  • Number of Openings: Not provided
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3078 (negotiable)
  • Local Candidate Policy: Reduced rate for locals within 50 miles

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to post-open heart surgical patients and other ICU patients
  • Administer and titrate medications and drips
  • Operate and troubleshoot advanced medical equipment
  • Interpret telemetry and monitoring strips
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL RN license or confirmation of application process
  • Minimum of 2 years CVICU experience
  • BLS Certification
  • Ability to titrate various drips and manage advanced cardiovascular equipment
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips

Preferred:

  • ACLS Certification
  • CCRN Certification
