Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing post-cardiovascular surgery patients in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: Not provided

  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3078 (negotiable)

  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
  • Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Manage care for post-cardiovascular surgery patients
  • Titrate critical drips including dopamine, dobutamine, and others
  • Interpret monitoring strips
  • Utilize advanced equipment like IABPs, Impellas, Swan Ganz
  • Collaborate with PCTs, charge nurses, and house supervisors

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or application process initiated
  • Minimum 2 years of solid CVICU experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • BLS Certification (AHA)
  • Ability to interpret EKG strips and perform critical assessments

Preferred:

  • ACLS Certification
  • CCRN Certification
  • Experience with EP patients and temporary pacemakers
