Assignment Overview
Join our specialized CVICU team to provide care for post open heart surgical patients and more. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in managing complex cardiovascular cases and be ready to integrate into the unit seamlessly. This role requires strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity care for post open heart surgical patients and other cardiovascular cases
- Utilize and manage specialized equipment such as IABPs, Impellas, Swan Ganz, and ECMO
- Interpret cardiac monitoring strips and manage titratable drips
- Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors in a teamwork-oriented environment
- Float to various levels of care as necessary
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL RN license or confirmed application initiation
- Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in strip interpretation and critical care skills
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication abilities
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment
Preferred:
- ACLS and CCRN certifications
- Experience with post VAD placement and transplant care
