Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU, cardiac ICU, or comparable intensive care unit experience
• Active RN license and current BLS certification required
• ACLS strongly preferred; CCRN certification is a plus
• Strong rhythm interpretation skills and the ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Experience titrating multiple vasoactive and critical care drips in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Confidence working as a critical care RN in a fast-paced cardiovascular nursing environment
• Ability to float across levels of care and take a full patient assignment as needed
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside care for post-operative cardiac and cardiovascular patients
• Care for patients with complex needs including CABG, valve repairs, STEMI, unstable angina, shock, heart failure, and vascular procedures
• Monitor and manage invasive lines, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, and advanced cardiac support devices
• Titrate and manage critical care drips per protocol and provider orders
• Interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms accurately and promptly
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to changing patient acuity and maintain excellence in a demanding CVICU environment
