Registered Nurse - CVICU | Travel | Milwaukee, WI

Assignment Overview

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in CVICU settings to provide critical care in a challenging and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cardiac and thoracic surgery patient care, with a focus on post-operative recovery.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: Flexible
  • Location: Milwaukee, WI
  • Shift Details: 0700-1900 or 1900-0700
  • Weekend Rotation: Every other
  • Holiday Expectations: 1-2 per contract
  • Schedule Cycle: 6-week schedule
  • Assignment Length: Up to 48 weeks
  • Parking: Free with shuttle service for day shifts and attached structure for nights
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for immediate post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
  • Monitor invasive lines and administer cardiac medications
  • Manage ventilators and interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for patient-centered care
  • Utilize EMR systems for documentation and care coordination

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3 years of ICU experience with at least 1 year in CVICU
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Competency in invasive line monitoring and cardiac intervention
  • Experience with EPIC EMR
  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation

Preferred:

  • CCRN certification
  • Experience with ECMO, CVVH, IABP, and VAD
