Registered Nurse - CVICU | Travel | Milwaukee, WI

Assignment Overview

This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in Milwaukee, WI. This is a travel assignment ideal for candidates with 3 years of ICU experience, including 1 year specifically in CVICU. The role involves caring for critical cardiac and thoracic post-surgical patients.

Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center
  • Shift Details: 0700-1900 or 1900-0700
  • Assignment Length: 36 or 48 contracts available
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Number of Openings: 1

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage cardiac and thoracic post-op patients
  • Administer cardiac medications and manage ventilators/trachs
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and perform invasive line monitoring
  • Provide competent care in a high acuity setting

Qualifications

Required:

  • BLS, ACLS certifications
  • Competence in invasive line monitoring, pacemakers, and cardiac medications
  • Experience with EPIC charting

Preferred:

  • CCRN certification
  • ECMO, CVVH, IABP, VAD experience
