Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring CVVH experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
  • Patient ratio of 1:2-3
  • Day (0700-1930) or Night (1900-0730) shifts, 3x12 hours
  • Every other weekend required with some holiday coverage
  • No call requirements
  • Floating required as needed
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Uses NextStage CVVH machine

Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the CVICU specialty
  • CVICU experience required
  • Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience required, preferably within the past 12 months
  • Travel RN experience required

Additional Information

  • Care for post cardiac surgery, pre/post cardiac cath, and complex cardiovascular patients
  • Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration
  • Provide respiratory care including ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
  • Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips and manage continuous IV sedation
  • Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • References are not required for consideration
