Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a CVICU position requiring 18 months of recent CVICU experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the CVICU unit of a hospital environment
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Day/Night rotating shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00pm-7:30am or 7:00am-7:30pm
  • Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital, though preferred shifts will be honored when possible
  • Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

  • Active Ohio RN license (permanent) or compact RN license required in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross
  • Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in CVICU specialty required (preferably within one location)
  • Minimum 18 months of recent CVICU experience required, travel experience accepted
  • One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the CVICU specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
  • Co-worker references will not be accepted

Additional Information

  • ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
  • Travelers will receive up to 2 attempts to pass required orientation assessments
  • PBDS Assessment is waived for this position
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
  • Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
  • Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless otherwise approved by the client
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
