Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit requiring at least three years of nursing experience and an active Illinois RN license.

Details

Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit caring for post-operative day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week for 36 hours weekly
Weekend and holiday shift requirements
Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
ASN required, BSN preferred
EPIC charting experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, care planning, and continuous evaluation of nursing interventions
Perform hourly rounding on patients
Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
Collaborate with the healthcare team and offer constructive feedback to support peer development
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (no local candidates)
RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
Previous Carle Health contingent workers must have completed a 6-month break in service if they were on assignment for more than 1 year
