Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 trauma center offering night shift, requiring Siemens CT experience and current MA licensure.

Details

  • Level 1 trauma center setting within the radiology department
  • Operates CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring equipment
  • Night shift 19:00-07:30, 36 hours per week
  • Weekend coverage required
  • Non-rotating shift
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Staff may float among radiology clinics and divisions as needed
  • On-call coverage and flexibility with shift coverage may be required

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Current Massachusetts State Radiologic and CT Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
  • ARRT registration in CT or equivalent required
  • BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
  • 2-3 years of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred, with at least 1 year in CT
  • Siemens CT equipment experience required
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills for patient interaction and image acquisition
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season with no exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Responsible for patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, and shielding during CT exams
  • Performs venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction
  • Completes RIS documentation and transfers images to PACS
  • May oversee and instruct radiologic technology students
  • Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement, and research initiatives
  • Maintains CEUs in accordance with Massachusetts licensure and ARRT requirements
  • Collaborates with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure effective patient care
  • Local candidates accepted; radius rule applies for candidates within 60 miles of Boston at a reduced rate
  • First-time travelers may be considered
