Job Summary:
CT Technologist position located in the area, specializing in Level 1 trauma and Siemens imaging systems. The role involves operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to acquire diagnostic images following departmental protocols. Staff will provide patient care, ensure proper imaging techniques, and may float among radiology clinics and divisions as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Radiologic Technologist, Massachusetts State Radiologic and CT Technologist license, registration in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent, 2-3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist with at least one year in CT, graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology, and experience with Siemens equipment and Level 1 trauma protocols. Must possess interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients under physical and emotional stress, and possess analytical abilities to understand imaging processes, techniques, and cross-sectional anatomy.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in trauma settings and demonstrating Siemens imaging proficiency.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include calibrating and verifying equipment function, notifying personnel of repairs, executing paperwork in the Radiology Information System, performing venipuncture for contrast administration, and participating in research and quality improvement projects. Needs flexibility to assume responsibilities for on-call coverage, rotate within departments and off-site clinics, and work overtime as needed. Must transport and transfer patients per departmental procedures, use independent judgment under pressure, and assist in training or overseeing other personnel and students.
