Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and Level I Trauma experience.

Details

  • Work in the CT Scan department of a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
  • 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday-Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM at the main campus
  • Holiday rotation required
  • No on-call requirements
  • May float within scope to sister facilities as needed
  • Uses Epic charting system, Siemens and Sectra equipment, and PACS
  • Expected to attend all staff meetings

Requirements

  • ARRT (R)(CT), BLS, and SC license required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience preferred, 6 months Level I Trauma experience required
  • Level I Trauma experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Skilled in PIV starts, contrast media preparation and administration, and radiation safety
  • Experience with image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement preferred
  • Proficiency in CT studies of abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest required
  • Experience with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, brain perfusion, and vascular CTA preferred
  • Must provide own radiation badge
  • Must have SC license in hand at time of start; pending licenses not accepted
  • First-time travelers accepted if they have prior relevant experience

Additional Information

  • Perform CT imaging across adult acute care, outpatient, emergency department, ICU, and Level I Trauma settings
  • Facility is Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
  • Scrub color requirement: teal top and black bottom
  • Complete required compliance modules (approximately 4 hours) prior to start, non-billable
  • Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates may be considered at a lower rate on a case-by-case basis
  • Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for approval consideration
  • Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
  • One-time parking pass fee of $20 for nights and weekends
