  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
  • Orientation: 24 hours
  • Setting: High-acuity cardiothoracic surgery and cardiac intensive care

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in the CVICU, Cardiac ICU, or a closely related specialty
  • Experience with cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity-adaptable care preferred
  • Experience with NextStage CVVH required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience in a Level I trauma setting required
  • Travel RN experience preferred
  • Must pass telemetry testing prior to start
  • Ability to float as needed
  • Must meet compliance and screening requirements before start

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert nursing care to cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients
  • Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiovascular conditions and advanced hemodynamic needs
  • Care for patients requiring specialized equipment and therapies such as CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO, LVAD, and Zoll Thermoguard
  • Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, manage ventilated patients, and interpret dysrhythmias and cardiac rhythms
  • Support post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and transplant recovery
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, rapid response staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, coordinated care
  • Respond to changing patient acuity and assist with planned and emergent procedures as needed
  • Deliver compassionate care while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and patient/family support
