Job Requirements

  • Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
  • Experience in multiple ICU settings strongly preferred, including neuro ICU, cardiothoracic ICU, burn ICU, trauma ICU, or medical/surgical ICU
  • Level I Trauma Center experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
  • NIHSS and TNCC preferred or required per assignment clearance
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start
  • Strong basic arrhythmia knowledge required
  • Ability to float to other critical care and progressive care units as needed
  • Must be comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
  • Care for patients across a variety of ICU environments and acuity levels
  • Manage complex interventions such as ventilator support, vasoactive drips, and telemetry monitoring
  • Perform ongoing assessments, clinical monitoring, and rapid response to changing patient conditions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, effective patient care
  • Float to units such as neuro ICU, CV/CT ICU, burn ICU, trauma ICU, MSICU, and IMC/progressive care as assigned
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking, flexibility, and teamwork in a fast-paced critical care environment
  • Support a culture of shared governance, learning, and excellence in patient care
