Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiac cath procedures and RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification.

Details

• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 3 procedure rooms and 5 beds
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Average daily census of 8-10 patients
• Diagnoses include diagnostic cath, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants (no EP studies or ablations)
• Uses GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI equipment
• Epic EMR required; Pyxis and Merge preferred
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
• May float within department and facility, including to sister campus Piedmont Eastside South
• Call requirements of 12-15 days per month, 2 weekends (Sat/Sun), plus late stay as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac cath and device procedures, including scrubbing heart caths
• BLS, ACLS, and RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification required (license required if applicable)
• Experience with EKG lead placement, obtaining vitals, and rhythm interpretation including sinus node rhythms required
• Pacemaker experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) strongly preferred at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, EKG lead placement, room circulation, and maintaining sterile field when scrubbing
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Traveler is expected to work major holidays occurring during the assignment, with limited holiday RTO consideration if three holidays fall within the contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, all RTO must be finalized at time of consideration
• No RTO can be requested during orientation week or after offer/onsite
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Returning employees or travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for one full year before reapplying as a traveler
