Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 1+ years of experience in a Level III Trauma acute care hospital.

Details

• Diagnostic cardiac cath lab in a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma facility
• 244 staffed beds
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Daily caseload of 12 patients
• Call requirements include every 4th weekend and one late/call shift per week
• Must be willing to float based on facility census and staffing needs
• Charting system is Cerner, experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab/EP Technologist
• Community hospital experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
• CCI RCIS certification preferred
• License required if applicable, must be active by start date
• Skills required include EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, accurate patient monitoring, cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, and PTCA
• Experience with carotid stenting and renal/ureteral stent placement required
• Additional experience with electrophysiology studies, TAVR, Watchman, Impella insertion, and pacemaker insertion preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures, EKG lead placement, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
• Blue scrub color required
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted, with holiday RTO requests requiring willingness to work one of three major holidays
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least three years before returning as a traveler
• No parking cost at the facility
