Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a hybrid Cardiac Cath and IR lab, requiring 1+ years of cardiac cath experience and active FL or Compact license.

Details

  • Hybrid lab performing both Cardiac Cath and IR procedures, no neuro or structural heart cases
  • Short term acute care hospital with 223 staffed beds
  • Day shift, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Daily caseload of 25 per tech
  • On-call required, one week on followed by two weeks off, call team includes 2 RNs and 2 techs
  • STEMI and IR call covered by the same call team
  • No floating within scope or to sister facilities required
  • Cerner EMR preferred

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Active FL or Compact license required (license required if applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • ARRT Advanced Cert, ARRT R, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, CET, and Fluoro Permit preferred
  • Cardiac Cath experience required including balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, coil embolization, filter placement, pacemaker/defib device placement, impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization
  • IR experience required including stents, angioplasty, thoracentesis, peripheral, upper/lower extremity, abdominal/pelvic, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, and venous access
  • EKG experience required including pacemakers, rhythm interpretation, sinus node rhythms, and holter monitoring
  • EP experience required including baseline measurements, AICD insertion/programming, and pacemaker insertion
  • General scrub, monitor, and circulate skills required
  • Trauma Level I and community hospital experience preferred
  • Must pass EKG exam (3 attempts maximum)
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)

  • Responsibilities include accurate hemodynamic monitoring, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing
  • Scrub color is royal blue
  • Parking cost included
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility unless local rate applies
  • No RTO permitted in contract; may be discussed during interview if applicable
  • Former permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
  • Guaranteed hours apply after the first call-off per pay period
