Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a Trauma Level II facility (Trauma Level I experience preferred)
• Days shift, 4x10s, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday with a random day off during the week
• 40 hours per week with no blocked scheduling guaranteed
• On-call requirement of 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend (7:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday)
• Weekend requirements include call schedule with occasional assigned cases
• Required to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC) and ACLS (AHA or ARC) certifications required
• Minimum of 24 months current Cardiac Cath/CCL experience required
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Structural heart experience highly preferred
• EP experience highly preferred
• Travel nurse experience highly preferred
• Scrubbing experience preferred
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab required for consideration
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Precepting may be required as needed
• Must be willing to float across campuses located minutes apart
• Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN) may be restricted from working travel assignments in other markets within 12 months of separation
