Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• Days shift, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, 4x10s Monday-Friday with a random day off during the week (40 hrs/week)
• On-call requirement of 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend (7:30 PM Friday through 7 AM Monday)
• Assigned weekend cases on rare occasion
• Required to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active Iowa (IA) or compact/multistate RN license required
• Minimum of 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Structural heart, EP, travel, and scrubbing experience highly preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including circulating and monitoring during procedures
• May be asked to precept as needed
• Must be willing to float across campuses located minutes apart from one another
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation, unless their prior role was itself a travel assignment with UPH
