Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Cath Lab position requiring cath lab experience and the ability to take call for STEMI or vascular cases.

Details

• Work in the Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• Perform cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 to 17:30, totaling 36 hours per week
• Call requirement of 8-12 days per month for STEMI or vascular cases
• Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required; pending NM/Compact license accepted if obtained prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; RCIS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
• Skills in cardioversion, circulating procedures, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, and monitoring procedural sedation
• Scrub procedures and medication administration for procedural sedation preferred
• Ability to take call for STEMI or vascular cases

Additional Information

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures for adult patients
• Located within The Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius; local candidates not accepted
• Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Standard RTO rules apply with limited auto-approval of days off
