Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a day-shift acute hospital assignment requiring 3+ years of case management experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review unit
• Monday-Friday day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of case management experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with any electronic charting system required
• Knowledge of InterQual Criteria and Milliman Guidelines
• Experience with admission criteria, care coordination, and discharge planning
• Experience with utilization review including appeals, denials, and concurrent reviews
• Familiarity with CMS, HIPAA, ICD-10 coding, and other regulatory standards

Additional Information

• Assess, evaluate, and drive discharge planning for assigned patients
• Coordinate services to ensure patients receive appropriate level of care
• Initiate, evaluate, and re-evaluate treatment plans on a daily basis
• Monitor length of stay and identify barriers to discharge
• Follow Medicare regulatory guidelines including patient choice, IMM notices, and MOON notices
• Full compliance required to start on time, as delays may result in a two-week push back due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized prior to start
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Previous Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
